All scholarship applications and supporting documents are due by May 15, 2022. Applications received after the deadline will not be accepted.
Overview
Applicants do not need to download the R. R. Moton High School Alumni Association Scholarship Application. Please complete it on your computer or smart phone. You will be able to: complete, upload required documents, print and submit all required information with this online application. A Media Release Form is included in this application.

Prepare
Before you begin the application, review the R. R. Moton High School Alumni Association Scholarship Application Packet. After reviewing the packet, assemble the following documents on your computer to upload: 1). your photo (head shot); 2). your transcript; 3). letter of recommendation; and 4). your completed essay.
Complete & Submit
Complete the online application, upload all requested documents, and submit (by clicking the submit button) the application according to directions.
After Your Submission
After you have submitted your application, the R. R. Moton High School Alumni Association Scholarship Team will evaluate the submission using the criteria below.

When Are Applicants Notified?
Applicants are notified at the Annual End-of-the Year Award Ceremony at the Leeds High School Auditorium regarding whether or not a scholarship from the R. R. Moton High School Alumni Association Scholarship Applicant is awarded a scholarship Your counselor or the R. R. Moton High School Alumni Association Scholarship Chair will inform you of the specific date. During the Award Ceremony, you will receive an Award Letter indicating the amount of the scholarship award and your next steps. All applicants are expected to attend the Award Ceremony.
The Award Ceremony
Scholarship awards are not given directly to students, but to the university or college where they have been accepted. After enrolling at the university or college of your choice and receiving an acceptance letter, you should:
- submit a copy of the award letter that is given to you from the R. R. Moton High Alumni Association to the Registrar at the college or university you have been accepted;
- request a verification of enrollment notice from the college or university that you are enrolled;
- mail that verification notice to the addresses below.
A check will be forwarded to the business office of that institution and it will be applied to your account after receiving a verification of enrollment letter.
The official proof of enrollment (or verification of enrollment letter or form) must be mailed and emailed to the following address:
